Bugs, Bacteria, and the Gut: What I Learned at UC COSMOS
Last summer, I had the opportunity to attend UC COSMOS at UC Irvine — a four-week residential program where high school students get to live on a university campus and do actual science. My cluster focused on how bacteria respond to changing environments, and honestly, it was one of the most eye-opening experiences I've had. I went in knowing I was interested in biology, but I came out with a whole new appreciation for how complex — and how personal — microbiology really is.

His work revealed that repeated head injuries could lead to long-term brain disease — and his determination forced an entire industry to confront truths it wante

The MIND Diet
Recently, I read this science paper (MIND and Mediterranean Diets Associated with Later Onset of Parkinson’s Disease). I found something i hadn't previously known: evidence suggests that eating a Mediterranean diet can delay the onset of Parkinson's Disease. For example, some items from the diet contain green leafy vegetables, berries, nuts, more fish intake, less red meat, and olive oil. (Typically the healthier meals that doesn't always satisfy our tastebuds like junk food
